Resolved Question: SCUBA Diving help with popping my ears. Please answer!?

So here it goes. I am getting certified to go diving. i always used to snorkel and go underwater and pop my ears to equalize pressure. Now i could only pop my left ear. If i swallow or yawn like about 10 time i could finally pop both ears. The problem is that i have to pop them every 2 feet that you go down in the water.
